There’s a beta of the rules avail­able. I find it all a bit baf­fling, it’s sup­pos­edly Sword and Sor­cery, but they seem to sug­gest it’s going to work well with strictly his­tor­i­cal games from var­i­ous eras, but then they fill the char­ac­ter cre­ation rules full of home­brew fan­tasy races which are weirded out elves, only they refuse to call them “elves” because they belong in high fan­tasy, pre­sum­ably. The heavy influ­ence of TRoS and Blade is there, along with some Burn­ing Wheel, Monte Cook and a Grit attribute which resem­bles Human­ity in Vam­pire. Hmm.

I’d checked out the beta a few times, and it looks like a TROS heart­breaker to me. Tons of house rules to make it more com­pli­cated and real­is­tic, with a bizarre vibe to the set­ting that was not to my taste at all.

That said, they have a lot of fans and I wish them all the best.

I’ve checked the beta and I think its too early to say any­thing. Right now it just looks like a hack/​house rules for TroS/​BoiT (noth­ing wrong with that, *cough*It’s not like its a crime to have parts and bits of TRoS, BoiT, BW, RQ, 7thS stitched together into 95 pages of a cus­tom system*cough*cough*).

I just find it amus­ing how they man­aged a way to put tac­ti­cal and pow­ered armor into a real­is­tic his­tor­i­cal game. Sorry, i guess its just magitech.

The Arc thing seems inter­est­ing enough. Kinda of like the pas­sions in tros/​boit and sto­ries in 7^th sea 2^nd ed.
